Kamenitza AD is one of Bulgaria's leading breweries and part of Molson Coors, one of the world's largest brewers. The company is a pioneer in the Bulgarian brewing industry, starting it in 1881. Kamenitza AD is the only Bulgarian beer producer that combines three world-renowned brewing traditions – Belgian, German, and Czech – and offers a rich portfolio that includes both local and beloved global brands.
Kamenitza AD operates a large brewery in the city of Haskovo and has a total of around 560 employees. In April 2019, the company opened the Kamenitza Brewery complex in its hometown of Plovdiv, featuring a microbrewery to produce handcrafted craft beers and a restaurant.
The Case
Kamenitza AD is a company with an established culture of caring for people and sustainable leadership development. In 2024, the global organization Molson Coors Beverage Company introduced a new framework of expectations for managers – "Our Leadership Footprint." It brings together key leadership behaviors aimed at building trust, developing people's potential, and creating highly effective teams.
At Kamenitza AD, this footprint fit naturally into the "Successful Manager" program, which was recognized in 2025 by BAPM in the "People Development" category. To support managers in applying leadership behaviors in a real-world environment, the company launched a joint project with LS-S to conduct 360-degree feedback.
The Approach
Within a month, all people managers, as well as talents without teams, participate in the process. A questionnaire with 214 questions is used to assess 40 leadership behaviors in three areas:

People management
People management
Thanks to the commitment and expert support of LS-S Leadership Support, participation is strong: over 80% of employees provided feedback, and 97% of managers received individual reports.

Results and impact

The results and recommendations were used to enhance the "Successful Manager" program with new elements that translate leadership expectations into real actions.
Key conclusions from the project
For the first time at Kamenitza AD, such comprehensive and simultaneous 360-degree feedback was conducted for all managers.
A questionnaire with 214 questions was used to assess 40 managerial behaviors, which took about 30 minutes to complete.
Complete confidentiality of the results was guaranteed.
Managers were encouraged to share their reports with their line managers and to include the conclusions in their individual development plans.
Precise preparation of the data before the start was key to the quality of the analysis.
Communication from LS-S to our team was open, timely, and greatly facilitated our joint work.
The constant contact with the consultants and their willingness to adapt the process to our needs was critical to the success.
